Turmeric Ginger Healing Tea

A warming, anti-inflammatory tea that’s perfect for cold mornings or when you feel a cold coming on. Turmeric contains curcumin, a powerful anti-inflammatory compound, while ginger aids digestion and soothes nausea.

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp ground turmeric (or 1 inch fresh turmeric root, grated)
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced
  • 1 tsp honey
  • A pinch of black pepper (enhances curcumin absorption)

Instructions

  1. Bring water to a boil in a small saucepan.

  2. Add grated ginger and turmeric. Reduce heat and simmer for 5-7 minutes.

  3. Strain into a mug through a fine mesh sieve.

  4. Add lemon juice, honey, and a pinch of black pepper. Stir well.

  5. Sip slowly while warm.
