Healthy Banana Ice Cream

Also known as “nice cream,” this is the simplest dessert you’ll ever make. Frozen bananas blend into a creamy, soft-serve-like ice cream with zero dairy and zero added sugar.

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas, sliced and frozen
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder (optional, for chocolate flavor)
  • 1 tsp peanut butter (optional)
  • Splash of almond milk (only if needed)

Instructions

  1. Freeze banana slices for at least 4 hours or overnight.

  2. Add frozen banana slices to a food processor or high-powered blender.

  3. Blend — it will go from crumbly to smooth. Stop and scrape down the sides as needed.

  4. Add cocoa powder or peanut butter if using, and blend until creamy.

  5. Add a splash of almond milk only if the mixture is too thick to blend.

  6. Serve immediately for soft-serve texture, or freeze for 30 minutes for a firmer scoop.
