Healthy Banana Ice Cream
Also known as “nice cream,” this is the simplest dessert you’ll ever make. Frozen bananas blend into a creamy, soft-serve-like ice cream with zero dairy and zero added sugar.
Ingredients
- 2 ripe bananas, sliced and frozen
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder (optional, for chocolate flavor)
- 1 tsp peanut butter (optional)
- Splash of almond milk (only if needed)
Instructions
-
Freeze banana slices for at least 4 hours or overnight.
-
Add frozen banana slices to a food processor or high-powered blender.
-
Blend — it will go from crumbly to smooth. Stop and scrape down the sides as needed.
-
Add cocoa powder or peanut butter if using, and blend until creamy.
-
Add a splash of almond milk only if the mixture is too thick to blend.
-
Serve immediately for soft-serve texture, or freeze for 30 minutes for a firmer scoop.
