Shrimp Pasta with Marinara
A lighter take on pasta night with whole wheat pasta, lean shrimp, and marinara sauce.
Ingredients
- 2 oz whole wheat pasta (dry)
- 5 oz large shrimp, peeled
- 1/2 cup marinara sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 tbsp parsley
- 1 tbsp Parmesan
Instructions
- Cook pasta. Reserve 2 tbsp pasta water.
- Heat olive oil. Add garlic and red pepper flakes.
- Add shrimp, cook 2 minutes per side.
- Pour in marinara and pasta water. Simmer 2 minutes.
- Add pasta and toss to coat.
- Garnish with parsley and Parmesan.
