Instant Pot Steel-Cut Oats
The Instant Pot turns steel-cut oats into a hands-off breakfast with no watching or stirring, finished with juicy berries and a hit of cinnamon. Make a batch on Sunday for easy weekday mornings.
Ingredients
- 1 cup steel-cut oats
- 2 cups unsweetened almond milk
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup mixed berries (fresh or frozen)
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 2 tbsp chopped walnuts
Instructions
- Coat the Instant Pot insert with a light spray of oil to prevent foaming.
- Add the steel-cut oats, almond milk, water, and cinnamon and stir to combine.
- Lock the lid, set the valve to Sealing, and pressure cook on High for 10 minutes.
- Allow a natural pressure release for 10 minutes, then quick-release any remaining steam.
- Stir the oats well and fold in the chia seeds and maple syrup.
- Spoon into bowls and top each with berries and walnuts.
- Add a splash of almond milk to loosen if the oats are too thick.
