How we verify menu information
Fast food menus change frequently. Our goal is to show you current, standard-menu nutrition information with a link to the official source so you can verify before ordering.
Our verification process
-
1
We check official sources
We review each chain's official U.S. nutrition page, menu PDF, or product page. We do not scrape third-party nutrition databases.
-
2
We confirm the item name and nutrition
We verify that the item name, calories, protein, carbs, and fat match the official source at the time of review.
-
3
We record the source and date
Every item has a
source_url,verified_atdate, and a next review date. -
4
We flag items for review
Items are marked verified (checked within 14 days), review_due (15–30 days), or unavailable (30+ days or removed from menu).
-
5
We hide non-verified items
Only items with verified status appear on our pages. If any field (name, calories, protein, carbs, or fat) does not match the official source, the item is automatically set to review_due and hidden from all pages, top picks, order builder, and share cards until re-verified.
-
6
We bind each item to a precise source and portion
A single official source URL must correspond to the exact item, portion size, and serving basis shown. We do not use a standard item URL to verify a modified variant (e.g., "no dressing"). If the source-to-portion mapping cannot be confirmed, the item is not shown.
What we do not do
- • We do not show items without a working official source link.
- • We do not estimate or calculate nutrition ourselves — we report what the official source says.
- • We do not guarantee availability at your local store — menus vary by location and season.
- • We do not set calorie targets, protein targets, or diet plans.
